Rey contributed to The Living Usk project, a collaborative initiative led by Peak Cymru and Action for Conservation that explores the River Usk through creative, ecological and community-led research.
Working as part of an intergenerational team of artists and young people, Rey supported the development of a participatory mapping process that gathered local knowledge, stories and environmental data.
This work culminated in a large ‘living map’, a documentary film and an exhibition at the Riverfront theatre, Newport.
Commissioned by Peak, Rey’s written reflection on the process can be found here.
This project continues into 2026 through the Youth Nature Guardians.
